Two versions of the last Bobber, one refined, the other two-seater!
A few weeks after Harley-Davidson unveiled a completely redesigned 2018 range , including eight new models in the Softail range, Triumph will be presenting its new products. And while the British firm has already reviewed the famous Bonneville with a new generation, but also the Bonneville T120 and the Bobber, here comes the new Bonneville Speedmaster.
This name that will reason for many as the name of one of the most sought-after watches in the world, the Omega Speedmaster, only shows to have been carried on the Moon, in Triumph one remains on the ground with a new motorcycle which plays background custom classic card. We remain very close to the recent Bobber, with a classic style, but a little more plush nevertheless. Only with this possibility of opting for a convertible solo and duo. Enough to enjoy two!
In this retro style of the Bonneville Speedmaster one finds in part the mechanics of the T120 and Bobber. An elongated and lowered chassis, a seat placed low enough for a ride typical of comfort … Not to mention the central shock absorber hidden under the saddle for the hardtail side. On the engine side, we find the Bonneville 1200HT engine with the Bobber setting. This is a twin-cylinder 1200 cc which delivers torque of 106 Nm at 4000 rpm, for a power of 77 hp at 6100 rpm.
Black is black
Another novelty of the 2018 range, the Bobber Black. As the name suggests, this is the recent Bobber in a very special livery since completely black. A way to reinforce his aggressiveness. This is due in particular to its front wheel of 16 inches, against 19 for the classic version of the Bobber, a bigger tire necessarily, and a front fork also bigger. From that to say that Triumph copies the Forty-Eight of Harley-Davidson … For the rest, from the exhaust to the brake lever passing by the headlight or the wheel hubs, everything is tinted with black. Moreover, two colors are proposed on this new Bobber Black: a shiny black and a matte black.
This special series should enhance Bobber’s success. Presented just a year ago, it represents the best commercial start in 115 years of the brand’s history.
