The Ducati SuperSport 950 is a completely new motorcycle for the Italian firm, both in its appearance and in its equipment and technology . The new fairings make it even sportier and the full LED headlight is inspired by the Panigale V4, but its range of use is wider, from city streets to speed tracks.
The new Ducati SuperSport 950 was presented a few days ago at an online event held by the Borgo Panigale firm, to unveil the next models of the house, replacing the Intermot and EICMA salons.
The novelties have to do with the engine, now homologated according to the Euro 5 standard, the aesthetics, with a look inspired by that of the Panigale V4, and the electronic equipment and more standard equipment.
The SuperSport 950 is fitted with the Ducati Testastretta twin-cylinder engine, with a displacement of 937 cm3, capable of delivering a power of 110 hp at 9,000 rpm and a torque of 93 Nm at 6,500 laps, as in the previous version.
The electronic controls and rider assistance typical of a Ducati motorcycle are unavoidable, passing through the Bosch 6-axis inertial platform and including the ABS Cornering system, the DTC EVO and the DQS up / down EVO and the DWC EVO. All the parameters of each system are associated by default with the three driving modes, which the rider has the possibility of customizing and resetting to their liking.
The technological novelty is the 4.3-inch TFT screen, which connects to the smartphone through the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS, available on request), to manage certain functions via the buttons on the handlebar.
The frame of the Ducati SuperSport 950 is the latest evolution of Ducati’s tubular chassis, the suspensions include a Marzocchi fork with 43-millimeter bars and a Sach monoshock that works on a single-sided swingarm.
On the other hand, the SuperSport 950 S is equipped with a fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, with a generous 48-millimeter fork with bars and a monoshock with integrated gas tank.
The Brembo brake system consists of M4-32 radial monobloc calipers, with two 320-millimeter discs. At the rear there is a 245-millimeter disc with two-piston caliper.
The 17-inch three-spoke alloy wheels on the SuperSport 950 are fitted with 120/70 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires at the front and 180/55 at the rear.
Since March 27, the Ducati SuperSport 950 is available in dealerships, in red, with a price of 13,990 euros. On the other hand, the Ducati SuperSport 950 S, in Ducati Red colors and White Artic Slik white, part of the 15,790 euros.
