Subaru is about to reveal the new Solterra 2023, an electric SUV that, although details of its capabilities have not been revealed, is expected to have excellent performance. The Subaru Solterra 2023 will arrive on November 17.
Subaru is going electric with a little help from Toyota. The SUV electric BZ4X twin Toyota, the Subaru SolTerra , will be presented at the Hall of the Los Angeles Auto Show next week on 17 November. But before that, Subaru wanted to share a Car Sneak peek one last time. The only attached image shows the front end of the Solterra from the side and naturally the SUV is playing dirt. This is a Subaru, after all.
The teaser doesn’t leave much to the imagination, especially since the BZ4X has been seen fully revealed and in production specs. So far, the Solterra is n’t shaping up to be a surprise, but it can include a few odds and ends to set it apart from the Toyota a bit . However, the all-wheel drive system is the work of Subaru. Toyota even said so in the past when the two decided to collaborate on an electric vehicle platform. As well as the Solterra and BZ4X do off-road, Subaru is primarily to thank.
Subaru hasn’t shared details of the new Solterra electric SUV
Even though Toyota has already shown its version of this SUV, there are still no specific details about the range, the battery size or anything like that. Therefore, the specifications of Solterra also remain a mystery. Globally, the SUV should go 300 miles , based on the WLTP cycle with a 71.4 kilowatt-hour battery. It’s unclear if all of that will apply to the United States, but it seems likely.
Toyota plans to launch the BZ4X in the United States next year, so we are likely to get closer to the final details. Or maybe Subaru will jump the gun and give the details when the Solterra debuts next week. Regardless, both SUVs will be important stepping stones into the world of electric vehicles for Japanese automakers.
