As we have seen for a few months now, MG has started a great offensive in our country as part of its return to Europe . A plan that already includes two models such as the MG EHS and the ZS that can be requested with an interesting discount plan that seeks to advance the aid of the Moves III Plan . Now, to continue increasing and consolidating that presence in our country, the resurrected Morris Garage introduces a third model whose reservation process is already underway. We talk about the new MG Marvel R Electric , an electric SUV that arrives ready to carve a niche in one of the segments with the greatest projection in the coming years with a very interesting quality-price ratio.
Spacious and loaded with technology
The MG Marvel R will be the top-of-the-range model of the new MG family in Spain. A C-segment SUV with a modern design and dimensions of 4,674 mm in length and 2,804 mm in wheelbase that will result in a spacious car inside, where the latest technology will not be lacking either, highlighting a floating touch screen of 19 , 4 inches for the MG iSMART infotainment system , which will offer a good number of connectivity functions in addition to DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB connection, Wi-Fi access point to connect mobile devices to the Internet and the integration of the Smartphone through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Regarding its trunk, it offers about 357 liters of capacity, expandable to1,396 liters , to which an additional 150 liters can be added under the front hood in the RWD version.
Another highlight as the brand’s flagship will be its advanced safety and driving assistance functions with the MG Pilot that incorporates a total of 14 ADAS systems such as alerts to prevent dangers and intelligent systems to maintain traction and stability. Also included in this Marvel R Electric are two new systems, the Emergency Lane Maintenance Assistant and the Sleep Alert System.
Two versions and up to 402 km WLTP
On a mechanical level, this SUV will be available with a 100% electric powertrain with two different configurations, a version with rear wheel drive ( RWD ) that will have two electric motors placed on the rear axle that will offer a power of 180 CV and a range of 402 km . The top of the range will be the version with four-wheel drive ( AWD ) that will have three electric motors, the third on the front axle, to achieve a maximum power of 288 hp and a range of 370 km WLTP. With these ingredients it will be able to do a 0 to 100 km / h in about 4.9 seconds and reach 200 km / h .
Both versions will be powered by a 70 kWh lithium-ion battery with fast charge capacity (AC) with an 11 kW three-phase charger on board, or a fast charge (DC) that allows to recover 80% of its capacity in about 40 minutes. In addition to all this, it also has a V2L system that will allow this MG Marvel R Electric to act as a portable charger to provide power for example to an electric scooter, an air compressor or even another electric car.

The MG Marvel R Electric will arrive in our market with three trim levels, Comfort – which includes as standard 18-inch wheels, panoramic roof, electric tailgate, Bi-Zone- Luxury climate control – which adds 19-inch wheels, electric tailgate with virtual pedal, real leather sports seats (heated front), 360 ° camera and ambient lights- and Performance -with Tri-motor system for AWD all-wheel drive, Bose premim audio system, electric tailgate with virtual pedal and also includes leather sports seats and heated front. With these levels, the Marvel R Electric will be offered in a price range that will be between 39,000 and 47,990 euros., without counting on the aid that can be applied.
