Orders for the Mazda CX-5 2021 are now being accepted in the United Kingdom, where it arrives with some interesting developments in engines, finishes and equipment.
Engines for all tastes
For starters, the 2021 CX-5 features a new 194 hp 2.5 SkyActiv-G engine that has been borrowed from the Mazda6 . This will only be available in the Sport GT trim, with a cylinder deactivation system and four-wheel drive, all coupled to an automatic gearbox.
For its part, the 2.0 SkyActiv-G of 165 horses is now available with manual and automatic transmission. The 150PS diesel SkyActiv-D is offered with front-wheel drive in SE-L and Sport trim, while the 184PS version is reserved for the Sport and GT Sport, with all-wheel drive only.
Kuro Special Edition
Now, once we have analyzed the engines, the Mazda CX-5 2021 also arrives with a new special edition under its arm. It is called Kuro, and it is based on the SE-L finish. Only 750 units will be made of it and it has a 165 HP SkyActiv-G engine, as well as two colors to choose from: Soul Crystal Red or Metallic Polymetal Gray. The 19-inch wheels, as well as the mirror caps, come in black.
The interior features a half leather half suede upholstery, with red contrast stitching. The front seats are heated and the driver’s seat is electric. The new 10.25-inch center screen infotainment system is now standard.
Prices for the UK start at £ 27,230 (€ 30,849) for the entry-level SE-L . The Sport and GT Sport start at £ 30,330 (€ 34,362) and £ 32,730 (€ 37,081) respectively. For its part, the Kuro special edition starts at £ 29,630 (€ 33,569), while the 100th Anniversary Edition starts at £ 34,295 (€ 38,854).
