In its domestic market, the large Kia K7 sedan (Cadenza in other markets) is now available in a hybrid version. The rechargeable hybrid is expected to follow soon.
Sharing its platform with other traction sedans Hyundai-Kia, the Kia K7 / Cadenza may well dip into the organ bank to add this hybrid. However, unlike the Hyundai Sonata, the heat engine remains a 2.4. Developing 159 hp, it is always associated with an electric motor of 38 kW / 51 hp. A set that allows this (heavy) 1680 kg sedan to claim a consumption of 16.2 km / l. Either 6.1 l / 100 km and 97 g / km of CO2 emitted.
For the time being only offered in Korea, it shows no distinctive worth compared to the rest of the range. Except some discrete “Eco Hybrid” logos. It could also be proposed in the United States. It will be followed by a rechargeable hybrid version.
