Testing driving dynamics with the new BMW M2 in circuit conditions. The rear-wheel drive, M chassis and two transmission options ensure a unique sporty driving experience, even in extreme conditions.

A few months before the world premiere of the new BMW M2, the final test phase of the development of the new high-performance car is underway. The new BMW M2 offers pure racing technology for the road and, in line with its track capabilities, it has now undergone intensive dynamic testing at the Austrian Salzburgring circuit.

The tests focused on the driving dynamics and the chassis, and the new BMW M2 was able to convince with its exceptional characteristics. The new production car offers a similar level of performance to the BMW M2 CS, the exclusive special sports car model from BMW M GmbH. Thus, the driver experiences pure race track sensations in all conditions, even the most extreme.

The power under the hood of the BMW M2 is ensured by a proven engine, taken from the M3 and M4 models. The two types of transmission available, the 6-speed manual gearbox and the 8-speed Steptronic M gearbox, guarantee an extremely dynamic implementation of performance that redefines driving pleasure. Sporty handling is further enhanced by the adaptive M suspension and rear-wheel drive of the new BMW M2. The powerful braking system comes from the M3 and M4 models and ensures sovereign power control.

The sporty and dynamic look of the new BMW M2 is complemented by various special equipment options. For example, a carbon roof is available, which allows, among other things, to further reduce the weight. The carbon M bucket seats for the driver and front passenger, also available as an option, further underline the track look of the new BMW M2.

The new BMW M2 will make its world premiere in October and go on sale in April 2023.
