The Honda Civic 5p 2017 measures 4.52 meters in length, 1.80 in width and 1.43 in height. It is slightly wider and lower than the previous model, but what has changed the most is the length, which grows 15 centimeters. The interior has changed a lot. According to our measurements , there is more space for passengers than in the previous model, although not as much as would be expected given the increase in body size. In any case, it is a very spacious vehicle that stands out for the width measured at shoulder height in the two rows of seats, which is superior to that of all rivals. The luggage compartment, with 414 liters capacity, is also among the most spacious, although it does not have too regular shapes.
The appearance of the dashboard is completely different from the previous model and is made of materials of simple appearance, although adjusted with much precision. The driving position is very good because the seat can go very close to the ground, the steering wheel slightly stretched relative to the body and the shifter is very close to the driver’s hand.
In the range of engines the main novelty is the use of new petrol engines with supercharging , with 1.0 and 1.5 liters of displacement. The first, three-cylinder, gives 129 horsepower; The second, four-cylinder, gives 182 horsepower. Both are quiet and have a very linear and progressive power delivery, but do not respond as quickly to the accelerator as the atmospheric movements used by the Civic 2015. These engines can be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox that works great or with a continuously variable drive (CVT), which is not as enjoyable.
