Asian countries such as Indonesia and Thailand already have on sale in the dealerships of the Yamaha brand, a new scooter that uses the new Blue Core Technology, a technology whose main objective is to lower pollutant emissions from combustion and in turn get a better performance of the engine consuming less fuel. This new hybrid technology is joined by an electric motor with which the new scooter can have the Start/Stop function, widely used in four-wheeled vehicles, which turns off the combustion engine during stops, either while waiting for the change of light at a traffic light or in a traffic jam. The first hybrid exponent of the brand of tuning forks has been called Yamaha Fazzio and its price in Indonesia amounts to 21,700,000 rupees, about 1,300 euros at the change.

Retro style

In its appearance, the new Yamaha Fazzio presents a neo-retro image with OPTICS and LED riders. Its cycle incorporates a conventional front fork next to an adjustable rear monoshock with recharging. Its brakes are composed of a front disc and drum from behind. In addition, it has regenerative braking, which will allow you to recover energy and return it to your battery. The list is completed with 12-inch wheels for both axles.

Its equipment includes an LCD screen instrumentation, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port in the small glove compartment of the shield and the Yamaha Y-Connect app, with which the owner’s mobile can be associated with the motorcycle. To this is added a smart key and a trunk of 17.8 liters under the seat. Its engine is hybrid and consists of a single-cylinder combustion block of 124 cc that yields 83 hp of power and a torque of 10 Nm.

Its hybrid system incorporates an electric generator motor that assists the combustion engine. This offers support to the gasoline engine for a maximum of 3 seconds at the start, thus giving an additional power and torque that reduces the fuel consumption of the motorcycle in the started from standstill. The Start/Stop system has also been added, which shuts down the combustion engine completely in a traffic jam or while waiting for the light to change at a traffic light.
