eBussy, Electric And Inexpensive Bus Promises A Range Of Over 600 Km!

With this “eBussy”, the German company ElectricBrands has designed a modular platform for electric buses. When designing this small 3.65-meter delivery vehicle, ElectricBrands clearly drew inspiration from the Volkswagen T1 and T2.

The eBussy features a modular body which, depending on the brand, can easily be replaced by another with just a few turns of the screw. A single car can therefore be transformed into a moving vehicle, a van or a mobile home! When the eBussy hits the market in 2021, it will cost, according to ElectricBrands, 19,600 euros for the passenger car version.

You can even get a bare chassis cab for 15,000 euros. These are very low prices, especially when you know that these vehicles are exclusively electric! The tiny 10 kWh battery would be enough for a range of 200 kilometers. This seems quite amazing to us, knowing that a Honda needs a battery of… 36 kWh to claim a similar range! The secret of this “miraculous” autonomy? A reduced mass of only 450 kg! The more expensive version even covers 600 kilometers with a 30 kWh battery! This eBussy will undoubtedly be homologated as a “motorized quadricycle” and not as a car, which will make it much cheaper to homologate.
