DUCATI Streetfighter V2 range enriched with a new colour

Ducati is expanding the Streetfighter V2 range with the introduction of the new Storm Green colour which will be available in dealerships from July 2022.

The metallic green chosen by the Ducati Style Centre highlights the clean and essential lines of the Streetfighter V2, reinforcing the bike’s uniqueness and innate ability to attract attention. The matte finish blends perfectly with the color of all the mechanical parts, while the metallic grain creates a contrast on the different surfaces.

Ducati Streetfighter V2

The Streetfighter V2 is aimed at those looking for a bike that can combine the sporty DNA of the Panigale V2 with the attitude and riding style of the Streetfighter. An intuitive and easy-to-handle model, with the right power to guarantee adrenaline-pumping performance and maximum driving pleasure, combined with a high-level electronic package that allows you to enjoy the bike safely.

The Streetfighter V2 is essential and is characterized by a truly sharp design, which takes up the classic stylistic elements of the Streetfighter V4, starting with the distinctive headlight, which recalls the V-shaped DRL typical of Ducati sports bikes and is inspired by the famous smile of the Joker.

The ergonomics have major driver-centric features and are focused on road use with the added values of sportiness and comfort. The high and wide aluminum handlebar replaces the half handlebars of the Panigale V2. The saddle is now wider and has new padding that helps make this bike even more comfortable. In addition, the footrests have been repositioned to accentuate the available space. All these improvements allow the rider great control in sporty driving and at the same time facilitate daily use.

The engine of the Streetfighter V2 is the Superquadro 955 cm3 compliant with the Euro 5 standard, capable of delivering a maximum power of 153 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 10 m/kg at 9,000 rpm. This engine is very elastic and proves not only usable and pleasant on the road, but also efficient and excellent on the track, where it can be easily managed. Compared to the Panigale V2, the Streetfighter V2 has a shorter final gear ratio (15/45 vs. 15/43) that guarantees greater torque for the road while providing better engine responsiveness when the throttle reopens.

During the development of this new model, Ducati engineers focused their attention on the chassis configuration. Indeed, the Superquadro engine is used as a load-bearing element connecting the compact front structure, consisting of a die-cast aluminum monocoque frame attached to the engine head. The single swingarm, also connected to the engine, is 16 mm longer than that of the Panigale V2, which helps to ensure the stability of the entire bike.
This is followed by the 43 mm Showa BPF fork and the Sachs shock absorber, whose specific settings make the bike more comfortable on the road and easily adjustable for on-track activity.

The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with 5-stick wheels and the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres: 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 180/60 ZR17 at the rear, which offer a quick response to the driver’s needs as well as an extra feel in the corners. With the exception of the adoption of brake pads characterized by a less aggressive bite, more suitable for road use, the entire braking system is faithfully taken from the Panigale V2 and features Brembo M4.32 monobloc radial calipers with discs of 320 mm in diameter.

The complete and modern electronic equipment that equips the Streetfighter V2 is inherited from the Panigale V2. The six-axis IMU inertial platform controls all of the motorcycle’s electronic controls and measures its position in space in real time, sending the information to the control units that manage the controls. The electronic package includes: ABS Cornering (present on all motorcycles in the Ducati range and in this case in the EVO version), Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up / down (DQS) EVO 2, Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO.

The Streetfighter V2 has three driving modes (Sport, Road, Wet) with dedicated settings. The electronic equipment can be enriched by the accessories contained in the Ducati Performance catalogue, such as the Ducati Multimedia System which allows you to connect a smartphone or the Ducati Data Analyser (DDA + GPS) for data collection and subsequent analysis.

The motorcycle is equipped with full-LED headlights with front DRL and a 4.3-inch color TFT dashboard with an intuitive interface that recalls the filiation with the Streetfighter V4.

The Streetfighter V2 in the new Storm Green colour with black rims and red stickers joins the sporty version in Ducati Red.

The Ducati Performance catalogue contains various accessories designed to improve the look and performance of the new Streetfighter V2. Available in July at all Ducati Distributors at the price of 17490 € TTC.
