Chevrolet Racing has announced the price of the Camaro GT4.R which will be able to compete on the European circuits next season: the ticket is set at $ 259,000 (€ 217,299).
The Camaro GT4.R, which was unveiled in March and has since been launched in IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series and in the Pirelli World Challenge, has already gleaned some successes. old continent.
The American muscle car, which the Pratt & Miller Engineering team has developed (and will also ensure sales), was pre-engineered with a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 block borrowed from the Camaro SS model and developing 480 ch, a six-speed sequential gearbox as well as a limited slip differential provided by Xtrac, an adjustable Ohlins Racing suspension and Brembo braking.
Obviously the body of the Camaro ZL1 from which this version GT4.R was designed, has also been retouched to adopt a complete aerodynamic pack (new drifts, side skirts, imposing fin), some of these elements having been made in carbon fiber to guarantee a better rigidity and a significant weight gain to this model displaying 1,420 kg on the balance.
What we imagine, to compete with the regulars of the GT4 squad, which are the Aston Martin Vantage, McLaren 570S GT4 and other Porsche Cayman Clubsport GT4 to name a few.
