Nissan has made us wait long enough with its first electric SUV, the 2023 Ariya. We now know Canadian prices, they range from $55,093 to $72,093.
More than 10 years after the Canadian launch of the LEAF, Nissan will offer for the first time a second electric offering in its range. While the electric SUV segment is booming, Nissan will be one of the next to appear on the Canadian market in late fall 2022 for tractions, and early next year for all-wheel drives.
The manufacturer unveils the list of versions as well as models that will be available here. There will be two versions in terms of cog, 214-horsepower traction or all-wheel drive with e-4ORCE technology and 398 horsepower. In addition, we count on the possibility of two sizes of batteries; The smallest will have a capacity of 63 kilowatt hours, while the largest will offer 87 kilowatt hours. The figures will have to be confirmed during tests, but the manufacturer announces a maximum range of 490 kilometers.
Here is the list of Canadian versions and prices for the 2023 Nissan Ariya. It is important to note that Nissan Canada’s listed prices do not include freight and PDI charges of $2,095. Also note that some versions will be eligible for the two government rebates totalling $12,000. A test drive will be available shortly on your favorite automotive content platform rpmweb.ca.
2023 Nissan Ariya review
It will have to put the 2023 Nissan Ariya to the test in depth, but Nissan offers a product that looks serious on paper when it comes to capacity. It does not push the limits of autonomy, nor does it present new technologies, but it comes at the right time in a market where demand is increasingly strong. The only question that remains is whether production will be able to keep up with demand or if we are just adding another electric SUV to a long list of vehicles unavailable for the next 2-3 years. If Nissan wants to make its place, there will have to be Ariya in quantity.
