2022 Kia Rio Specs, Features, Redesign

The Rio 2022 is the next generation of Kia’s most iconic model . This version comes with a more sporty look, and news in security and connectivity. The Rio has been for several years the best-selling car in the Peruvian market (according to AAP 2017, 2018 and 2019), one of the most important milestones for Kia in recent years.

The New Rio comes with a 1.4-liter engine and has a 6-speed mechanical and automatic transmission in both versions, sedan and hatchback. As for the trunk, the sedan version has a capacity of 505 liters and the hatchback version has a capacity of 325 liters. More than enough so that you can take everything you need.

Its design in the sedan version, brings a new front grill, with 15 ″ alloy wheels and front fog lights in its sport versions. The Rio hatchback also has a new front grille, 17 ″ alloy wheels, along with front fog lamps, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights.

Likewise, all versions have a 9 ″ Entertainment and Navigation System, with this large screen it is possible to download and connect to applications such as; Waze, Google Maps or Spotify. In addition, it comes with the option of a wireless charger for smartphones, with QI certificate, so that the car is not cluttered with cables and you are always connected. All this connectivity will always be at your fingertips as it has audio controls on the steering wheel.

Regarding safety, the New Rio 2022 has up to 6 airbags that are located in the front, side and curtain in its sport versions, and all its versions have MDPS Electronically Assisted Steering, ABS EBD Braking System and Camera back. It also has ISOFIX anchors for the safety of the little ones.

Both the sedan and hatchback versions of the New Rio are available at all Kia stores nationwide. Their prices range from US 12,990 and US 15,490 and include Santander Consumer Bonus. They can choose either of the two versions in the colors; light white, steel gray, black, silver, fire red and now the new sports blue color.
