Our photographers have managed to hunt for the first time the 2019 Ford Focus Wagon as the new generation of the Ford Focus. This is the third body variant of the new Focus 2018 and will hit the market a few months after the hatchback variant.
This is the first time we can capture one of the test drives of the 2019 Ford Focus Wagon, the variant familiar compact body of Ford . As we can see in the images shows an aspect very similar to the rest of variants that we have seen so far from the next generation Focus, still under development.
Having been able to see in detail a few units of the new Ford Focus 2018 , in its hatchback variant , from which we have even seen test mule testing systems as novel as the drive-by-wire steering system , such as Of the future sedan variant of the Focus, until now we had not been able to take a look at the third variant of body of the new generation , which as we can see, will also be conveniently renovated.
The appearance of this example is very similar to the previously analyzed units of the new Focus. The camouflage is very deep and has the same elements hiding its forms , much vinyl and plastic elements of black color intended to disguise the forms of the new panels of the body and its main features.
For what little we can appreciate the design of the Focus Sportbreak will be similar to the new hatchback variant, although in the rear we find a design somewhat more elaborate than the previous generation , or at least release the volumes suggested by the unity of the images. The rear window looks quite steep and the waistline of the model gives it a very close rear, with shoulders marked enough.
The large tailgate continues the trend of the segment and ends in the bumper , apparently similar in size to that found in the 5-door variant. Although not to raise the loading mouth too much, the black piece that hides the rear bumper shows a clear notch in the central area, which reduces the height of the mouth enough.
Like the rest of the Focus range in Europe, the SportBreak version will feature a mechanical range composed of 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engines and 4-cylinder TDCi diesel engines . In the section gasoline we find the tri-cylindrical 1.0 liter EcoBoost with two power options, 100 and 125 hp, plus a new 4-cylinder 1.5-liter, with options of 150 and 182 hp. The diesel offer will consist of the 1.5 TDCi and 2.0 TDCi blocks. The range will feature a new hybrid version and even a new 200 hp EcoBoost engine, but we do not know if these options are contemplated for this familiar version.
In principle, the new generation of the Ford Focus will be presented in the early stages of 2018, although more than likely the first variant that will see the light will be the hatchback version , so the sedan and the family version SportBreak should wait a few months.
