Yamaha relies on extensive adventures: The Tracer gets as a GT variant suitcases, a 700 Ténéré is presented as a prototype and the large 1200 Super Ténéré waiting from March next year as a Raid Edition with increased travel ambitions at the dealer.
Inside, it does all the things that made the previous XT 1200 Z / ZE a good travel enduro: sovereignty, comfort, range, safetySecurity with SPIDI!and customer qualities. Or more concretely: The robust, 1199 cubic centimeters large rowwin with crank pin offset, 112 HP maximum output and 117 Nm of torque, the electronically adjustable suspension (each 190 millimeters of travel) and the adjustable driver\’s seat (845 or 870 millimeters seat height), the 23-liter fuel tank, the Integral braking system, traction control and cruise control, as well as the insensitive shaft drive. The whole is packed in the Raid Edition not only in a chic, optional blue or black dress with Raid Edition decor, but also gets useful attachments for the big trip donated, especially the two each 37 liter aluminum case. These have plastic reinforcements and also provide the option of securing further luggage at the top.
There is a standard high fairing windscreen and additional wind deflectors, a larger engine guard with side extensions and carbon-made trim parts on the sides. With the Ténéré 700 World Raid prototype also presented at the EICMA, the XT 1200 ZE Ténéré Raid Edition shares the 4-lamp design, which consists of main headlamps and also standard fog lamps.
Since the early eighties, the epithet Ténéré at Yamaha stands for rugged, reliable and high-reach adventure bikes, with the XT 1200 ZE Ténéré Raid Edition, the company wants to build on this success with the crossed tuning forks. Here, the list of positive features is of course complemented by another: modernity. Because in addition to cruise control and various Motormappings is also a gear indicator in the LCD cockpit.
From March 2018, there will be the XT 1200 ZE Ténéré Raid Edition in the color variants Yamaha Blue and Tech Black, a price called Yamaha yet.
