The next generation of Bentley Continental GT was taken in blue during Nürburgring tests. Although this example still has simple oval headlights on either side, we believe that this is only a trick during development (see speculative rendering below). The final model should have a pair of lights at the corners of the face.
The Bentley designers are taking important indications of the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept for the new Continental GT, especially the front. The shape changes at the rear where the production model has a large tail with a large chest. The cracked windscreen and the gently flowing roof are fantastic.
The spy photos have not yet been very attentive inside the production model. However, the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept (see gallery below) uses an interesting blend of classic and modern that creates a fantastic cabin. In a nod to tradition, there is still only one analog gauge, but the rest of the dashboard is a digital display for viewing navigation information and vehicle data. A second screen follows the tilted center stack, which controls details such as the HVAC system, entertainment and calls. The two-tone leather with exposed seams evokes fine furniture.
The Continental GT will run on the MSB platform as the latest Porsche Panamera, which should exceed a considerable weight. A 4.0 liter V8 biturbo and a 6.0 liter W12 biturbo should be available at launch. Later, a plug-in hybrid would also be available.
The Spy shots also show a replacement for the Continental GTC droptop under development. The EXP 12 Speed 6e concept should closely follow the final design of the production model.
