2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class First Official Image

With world premiere scheduled for the Detroit Motor Show, which opens its doors on June 11, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class has just been revealed in full on first official images. The new generation of the sedan brings lines that resemble the younger brother Class C and also the luxurious Class S. The E-Class in 2017, with the new base, is higher by 43 mm in length, now 4,932 mm, and 65 mm in wheelbase, reaching 2,939 mm. In addition, the drag coefficient is smaller, now 0.23, thanks to a new design of the body.

Inside, the new Mercedes-Benz stands for technology, complete with a screen in the instrument panel and other entertainment system, positioned on the center console, both with 12.3 inches.

At least in Europe, the E-Class will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine in the E200 version and a 2.0 turbodiesel in E220d model. There will also be units four- and six-cylinder turbo, as the E350E, which will have a 2.0 turbo and other electrical, with 280 hp. A sports version developed by AMG will also be offered with V8 biturbo 4.0 block of 610 hp.
