2016 Audi A4 Spy Shot Photo and Release Date – The Audi A4 isn’t the newest entry in its class, but it’s still a serious competitor. Its 2.0-liter turbo four makes 220 hp; a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic are available with all-wheel drive models, but avoid the CVT which pairs only with front-wheel-drive A4s. The styling is tasteful and refined inside and out, refreshed last year with a new grille, front and rear lamps and fascias. Audi engineers are working overtime these days to complete the development of its next-generation A4 family. Earlier this week, we showed you the first spyshots of the A5 Coupe test vehicle and now it’s time to turn our attention back to the A4. 2016 Audi A4 Spy Shot Photo
Just like in the case of the previous A4 spottings and that of the A5, this is a test mule, so while the new chassis and powertrains are doing their job well hidden, there’s not much too see here.
However, our spy shooters managed to catch the A4’s dashboard. No, they haven’t fitted the new dashboard yet, but we can see the upgraded MMI display. Gone is the infotainment screen of the outgoing A4, being replaced with the more generous 8-inch screen found on Audi’s larger models. Lucky for us, the driver apparently forgot to drape the covers over the dashboard, giving an open view to the camera. The most noticeable difference is the placement of the infotainment screen. No longer is it housed within the dash, but is perched atop the dash like the current A6 . It also appears the vents within the center console have grown larger.

Later on during the A4’s lifespan, we should also expect to see a plug-in hybrid variant mixing up a 211 bhp 2.0 TFSI with a 95 bhp electric motor which should grant the more frugal A4 with an electric range of 50 km (31 miles).
The revamped Audi A4 will be introduced sometime next year and will once again spawn an allroad variant.
