Mitsubishi wants to compete with Nissan Juke and Toyota CH-R.
Mitsubishi or the diamond manufacturer unfortunately shines less than in the 1980s and 1990s.
This important Japanese group is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Indeed, the Japanese brand was founded in 1917 by presenting a century ago its first passenger car: the Model A .
On the occasion of the 45th Tokyo Motor Show , the company presents a concept car called e-Evolution, with the features of SUV. SUVs, crossovers and SUVs are indeed the hallmark of the manufacturer, at least on export markets.
But let’s go back to e-Evolution. This prototype 4-door SUV urban, marks the will of the manufacturer to compete with models such as Nissan Juke or Toyota C-HR .
It differs from it, but it is a concept, by its antagonistic doors (or suicide type) and by its oversized waistline.
Other striking stylistic elements, the design of the grille cut to the hook, and very aggressive, while the bow, more massive breaks a little this desire for dynamism.
Technically, the Mitsubishi e-Evolution relies on three engines, one of which is located on the front axle and two on the rear. This provision should promote the pleasure of driving, with a type of operation propulsion.
Good news for fans of the Mitsubishi brand, but they will have to be patient, since a model of series will not be commercialized before the horizon 2022!
