Lexus LF-FC Concept …I actually like it. Lexus may have finally found their design language. and the spindle-grille surprisingly works in this concept. Also, this is a fuel-cell (hydrogen) type vehicle. This could accelerate the technology knowing that uber-luxury brands tend to set the trend.
Looks pretty cool. Lots of math happening in that grille! Been seeing LOTS of the new NX-thing around here in a variety of colors (not just gray, RDX) so the “radicalism” seems to speaking well.
The look is still pretty crazy, but much more refined over the last iterations of Lexus\’ grillification. It\’s very futuristic and dynamic. I\’m not entirely sure how this will age compared to the Germans after a few years, but it\’s significantly more interesting to look at right now. I think they\’re almost there… simplify the design a bit more and you\’ve probably got a good balance.
What I like most is that the Nike swooshed headlights no longer look like an non-cohesive mess, like it did on previous vehicles. The use of LEDs instead of traditional light clusters really cleaned it up.
What the heck was going on here? Yuck.
They said for this generation LS they were going for a more Jaguar XJ/Panamera look/feel over a big cushy S class. It looks nice from most angles, good proportions but other angles it is odd looking, the interior is nothing to write home about and pretty plain. Super High tech minimalist is not luxury or luxurious, hope they got something better up their sleeve.
The tech is interesting but the styling is gross and nothing decent about it. This car and it\’s potential driver cries out for “Please give me your attention” and that\’s in a long line of recent Lexus designs.
I like the Lexus concept. There are some stuff that I still don\’t like: Nike swoosh lights. They should rid of that for good. If they can keep the overall shape and the vital styling elements, perhaps even improve on them, I think they have a winner.
If Lexus gave the spindle grille a smoked out darker metal – might look even better.
