The British manufacturer Jaguar, almost more famous for its classic vehicles sportier than their current and modern luxury sedans, manufactured exclusively classic sports impressive XKSS 1957 as an exact replica.
Automotive experts consider the XKSS as the “first supervehículo the world” , which as stated Tim Hannig , Director of Jaguar Land Rover Classic, “the XKSS marks a very special page in the history of Jaguar and is a vehicle very coveted by collectors around the world because of its exclusivity and unmistakable design. The experienced team of engineers and technicians Jaguar Classic is based on decades of accumulated knowledge to ensure that each of these nine vehicles is totally authentic and manufactured with the highest quality “ .
In fact they manufactured nine units of XKSS according to the exact specifications of its launch in 1957, which will take the place of those who were “lost” in the famous fire at the Browns Lane plant.All original vehicles must have come to the US, but when the tragedy occurred had completed only 16 units. Now 59 years later , Jaguar is preparing to make the nine sports XKSS lost for a select group of customers and established collectors. They are manufactured by hand in the new Experimental Shop of Jaguar Jaguar in Warwick and certify every detail of XKSS 100%, exceeding its price million pounds .

The XKSS was conceived from the start as the road version of the D-Type , model winner in Le Mans . XKSS history begins with the three glorious victories consecutive Jaguar at Le Mans in1955, 1956 and 1957 with the almighty D-Type. On January 14, 1957, Sir Williams Lyons makes the decision to convert the 25 units of D-Type remaining versions of road with several external modifications , which led to the creation of the first supervehículo the world. A higher windscreen, an additional door on the passenger side, the disappearance of the division between driver and passenger and the suppression of the famous wing located behind the driver’s seat were his keys.
