The Citroën E-Berlingo Multispace 2017 is the electric version of the van Berlingo Multispace, the version prepared for the passenger transport of this model. It has a 67 hp engine and an approved range of 170 km. It will be on sale in May 2017. The Berlingo Multispace is also available with diesel and gasoline engines from 75 to 120 hp ( all prices ).
The battery is lithium-ion and has 22.5 kWh of capacity. It can be completely recharged in a conventional outlet in eight hours if the outlet has a amperage of 16 A and in twelve and a half hours if it is 10 A. It also has a system for rapid recharge, with which it is possible to recharge 50% Of the battery in 15 minutes and 80% in half an hour. The normal recharge socket is located on the right front flap ( picture ) and the quick recharge flap occupies the usual place of the fuel refueling mouth on the left rear flap ( picture ). The battery is located on the floor of the vehicle, on both sides of the rear axle.
A similar vehicle is the Nissan e-NV200 Evalia , which has a 109 hp engine, an identical homologated autonomy and a battery of 24 kWh of capacity. Its starting price is 37 946 euros and can be ordered with five or seven seats. At the moment Citroën has not communicated the prices of the E-Berlingo.
The practicality is similar to the normal Berlingo Multispace. It has two side sliding rear doors ( picture ) and a tailgate. This can optionally have a practicable bezel that is useful for introducing and removing smaller objects from the luggage compartment. In addition, there are several equipment elements available that are unique to this version, such as the thermal preconditioning, which allows heating or cooling the cabin of the car before driving it by activating the air conditioning from a telephone. You can also check the battery charge status and remaining battery life from a distance.
Citroën gives eight years or 100 000 km of warranty for the battery and five years or 50 000 km to the chain of electric traction. The E-Berlingo will be assembled in the factory that Citroën has in Vigo.
