BMW X6 M VS Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe – Here is a battle for the ages – the totally gangster friendly BMW X6 SAC and Mercedes-Benz Coupe GLE have their own M and AMG versions. This could be the ultimate highway chases and total showdown at the local grocery store, mean sorry, high-end clubs.
BMW X6 M VS Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe – BMW, which already has the upper hand in a Mercedes, considering that the Bavarian automaker is the world’s best-selling premium brand (against third-placed Mercedes) and the fact that its X6 is already in the second iteration – announced has, the top model performance version X6 M just before the last autumn Los Angeles Auto Show – along with the X5 M siblings. Now, during the hot days of the 2015 North American International Auto Show (hot, when we think about the Ford GT and Acura NSX) is Mercedes, the swinging back to his old rival, unveiled not one – but two Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe versions – with two performance levels.
BMW X6 M VS Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe – When it comes to design, the GLE Coupe is obviously intended to try and snatch BMW customer, but overall the Mercedes-guys went a little too far – in the direction of Chinese piracy practices, especially if you look at both cars from the rear, in the three-fourths position. Fortunately, the M and AMG divisions are enough sense to have their own design elements and the models better differentiated. Both have the upper elements, so choosing one is just a matter of personal taste. The same goes for the interior, where they play both their strengths and both have specific weaknesses.
The real showdown is in the power range and here Mercedes has come up with an ace – there is a regular AMG Coupe GLE and an “S” version, which spotlights the power slightly. The “standard” GLE uses the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine with 557 hp gets (549 hp / 410 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque – enough to 62 mph in 4 3 seconds and top out at an electronically limited top speed of 155 miles per hour. The menacing X6 M ups the ante on the Mercedes rivals by a smaller V8 under the hood, the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that develops a little more oomph. Available 567 hp (423 kW) and 750 Nm (553 pounds-ft) of torque and an eight-speed Steptronic transmission M and M-wheel-drive system designed the monster jumps to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and ends up the same connected top speed of 155 miles per hour. The X6 M is then tuned and overwhelmed by the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe, which has the same engine, but now spits out 577 hp (430 kW) and 561 Nm (760 Nm) of torque. That’s enough for the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC and a rear biased 4MATIC all-wheel drive system containing 62 mph time to drop a matching 4.2 seconds.
