Likewise, its 1GD engine increases power by a little more than 15%, going from 174HP to 201HP and in the automatic version it not only increases power but also torque by 11% compared to its previous version. Both improvements occur in a higher rpm range, which translates into better fuel consumption.
In addition, the new pickup received modifications to improve ride comfort, reducing the level of perceived vibrations and new bushings were incorporated at the junction of the rear springs with the chassis. In addition, it now has button ignition, new LED headlights and audio equipment connectivity, Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
The brand incorporates the following passive safety systems as standard in all versions of Hilux double cab: 7 airbags for better protection of all occupants, 3-point seat belts for all seats, with pretensioner and force limiter for the driver and companion. To these specifications are added ISOFIX anchors (x2) and anchor for upper strap (x2) in all double cab versions.

On the other hand, the new Hilux now incorporates the innovative Toyota Safety Sense technology, an active driver assistance safety system that has the Pre-collision System (PCS), Lane Change Alert System (LDA) and Control Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
It is also important to remember that the Hilux model maintains the highest rating -5 stars- in protection for adult passengers and children by the New Vehicle Evaluation Program for Latin America and the Caribbean, Latin NCAP in its 2019 protocol .
Since the renovation of Hilux, a new line of accessories has also been defined that takes into account the preferences and conditions of use of each customer profile. The new line contemplates the offer of aesthetic accessories that allow the customization of the units, as well as functional accessories that adapt to the needs of those who use their vehicles, whether for work or recreation.
In that sense, this model will have 4 accessory packages available (1) the Luxury pack, (2) the Advantage pack, (3) the utility pack and (4) the Gazoo Racing sports pack. These packs will be available from March in the entire Toyota dealer network.
