2016 Nissan Maxima Price and Specs – Nissan is set to introduce an all-new Maxima during April’s 2015 New York Auto Show and has already given us a taste of the vehicle’s exterior (2016 Nissan Maxima Revealed).
The Maxima is one of the longest-running models in Nissan’s portfolio, but its 35-year run has seen it evolve from tight and sporty four-door to large and luxurious full-size sedan. Nissan intends to shake things up a little with the redesigned 2016 Maxima.
The new eighth-generation model gets a comprehensive restyle, starting with a new grille, headlights and front end. Sculpted sides flow into broad rear quarters that are vaguely Jaguar-esque, while the overall design trends toward four-door sedans that adopt fastback coupe-style roofs to hide their sedan-ness. The Maxima’s “floating roof” — a clever trick that visually separates the roof line from the front, center and rear pillars — emphasizes the coupe effect.

2016 Nissan Maxima Price and Release Date
The 2016 Nissan Maxima will debut in April and go on sale during the second half of this year. Nissan has not announced pricing, but we’d expect a modest increase that would start the sticker price at around $36,000.
The new Maxima faces the challenge of reasserting itself among other top large sedans, including the Chevrolet Impala, Kia Cadenza and Toyota Avalon. The Chrysler 300 delivers a similar upmarket interior in a robust, rear-drive American package, while the new Acura TLX is another worthy consideration in this category.
