Three years after a first draft called Juke-R, the Japanese manufacturer adds the 2.0 Mention for its super crossover that mixes the mechanical elements of the supercar GT-R 2015, whose mechanical V6 biturbo 600 hp in the skin of a Juke bodybuilder. 2015 Nissan Juke-R 2.0

It rains on this Mortefontaine in late August but what rotten weather and difficult conditions on the A1 copiously watered, it is with great pleasure that I go into the enclosure of the highly confidential test circuit CERAM Mortefontaine in Oise for a few kilometers of driving highly turbulent urban crossover 2015 Nissan Juke-R 2.0, which is the highly evolved version of the Juke-R was built in 2012 and that we tested on the same track. As we do not change a formula that works, Nissan organized a small event around the presence in France of the Juke-R 2.0 new version unveiled in late June during the famous rendezvous English Goodwood. A very nice little gift back!

On landing on the Mortefontaine circuit, he wisely waited for me at the bottom of the driveway, ready to do battle again – read our test Juke-R 2012 – the speed ring but also a track circuit by cones on the huge airplane. Always so monstrous, the Juke-R 2.0 has kept his predecessor’s matte black color, its wings bodybuild√©es or his big 20-inch wheels directly borrowed from the GT-R supercar Nissan Juke-R which is none other than 2.0 the crossover variant. The biggest change concerns the aesthetic front panel which adopts the codes of the 2014 Juke restyled with new headlights and front fenders. The front bumper with carbon specific to this R version 2.0 is also full again with a major aerodynamic work flow but also the cooling of mechanical components, including the 3.8-liter V6 biturbo engine of the Nismo version that offers no less than 600 c. Moreover under her dress, the Juke-R 2.0 takes nothing less than the mechanical components of the GT-R with the engine, its sequential automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, brakes and running gear or with suspension settings optimized for the Juke-R 2.0 which originally wheelbase and tracks are not really identical. Inside, if the environment is that of a Juke, the mood is decidedly race with a multipoint roll cage and two Recaro seats with safety harnesses. On the screen in the center console include all technical data as a GT-R and it is unfortunate that the wheel does not rule in depth, because for the rest it is perfect with controls that fall perfectly under the hand.

Between the first version of “only” 485 hp and the latter, a chasm 115 hp. But finally the driving power and torque surplus is not as impressive as in the data sheet. Less “ping-pong” the first version, the Juke-R 2.0 is better placed on its huge 20-inch wheels and suspension whose travel is kept to a bare minimum is better at road irregularities. Replacement of racing bucket seats by Recaro is no stranger either driving comfort. Once in action, the Juke-R is a beast who tames course with notions of control because the machine is just a catapult that propels you from one corner to the other in just seconds. If the acceleration is just phenomenal, braking is a model of power and efficiency. We arrive quickly, very quickly, and you tap like crazy in the brake pedal and then just down the relationship with the pallet wheel. Child’s play (big child). Turbulent and playful without being vicious, the Juke-R 2.0 can easily place a swerve and a slight drift of the rear support in the tone.

Very exclusive vehicle, the Juke-R 2.0 provides plenty of fun at the wheel. Built in only two copies, for the moment, with a right-hand drive and our test version with driving on the left, this thought 2.0 is more efficient than its predecessor, more efficient, more homogenous while being easier in his piloting. A fantastic toy unfortunately unreachable except for a select few extremely wealthy.
